The unit is designed to be installed in ground or concrete slab, with a drainage line connected to the box. It t is also designed with a union in the assembly so that the drainage line can be serviced should there be a blockage. The small access door in the main stainless steel door can be left open to allow the appliance to remain plugged in while the larger door is closed.
